Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Full Stack Developer (Solutions Architecture) for a remote role with the Veterans Affairs department. Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure
• Experience with large-scale, high-availability cloud architecture
• Extensive experience with Azure services (VMs, Storage, SQL DB, VNet, Functions, Azure AD, ARM templates)
• Knowledge of Azure security services and best practices (Entra ID, DDoS, Firewall, Defender, WAF)
• Strong understanding of Azure networking (VNet peering, ExpressRoute, VPN, Private Link)
• Experience governing multi-subscription Azure environments using Management Groups & Landing Zones
• Knowledge of cloud cost management and budgeting in Azure
• Scripting/automation with Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI
• Monitoring/logging with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Sentinel
• Experience troubleshooting Azure resources for performance and reliability
• Understanding of HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS and related standards in cloud environments
• Encryption, key management, identity, and privileged access with Azure Key Vault & Entra ID
• Experience with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Synapse, Data Lake)
• CI/CD/DevOps practices with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and pipelines
• Containerization with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, ACI

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complete Azure-based solutions for bids and proposals
• Collaborate with BD, capture, and proposal teams to optimize solutions
• Coordinate technical staff for pre-bid and proposal activities
• Design, implement, and govern secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures
• Mentor engineers and cross-functional teams on cloud standards and governance
• Develop innovative concepts and standards for cloud solutions
• Ensure alignment with enterprise objectives and risk parameters
• Provide guidance to team on objectives and policies
• Support cost governance and optimization in Azure environments
