Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, a U.S.-based firm, is seeking a Full Stack Developer (Solutions Architecture) for a 100% remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The candidate will design and govern secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures, collaborating with cross-functional teams on pre-bid, proposals, and solution development.

Requirements include deep Azure expertise, experience with high-availability cloud solutions, and strong scripting and CI/CD capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure and services.
• Experience with high-availability, scalable cloud architectures in Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL/DB, Azure Storage, Azure VM, VNet, DNS, and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Azure security services and governance (AAD, DDoS, WAF, Defender).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
• Experience managing multi-subscription Azure environments and cost governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of solutions meeting customer requirements and support pre-bid/proposal activities.
• Collaborate with BD, capture, and proposal teams to optimize solutions and estimates.
• Design, implement, and govern secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures.
• Guide team members and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and policies.
• Provide SME input to meet technical, schedule, and cost requirements within risk parameters.
• Mentor engineers and architects while maintaining documentation and governance.
