Job summary

GovCIO seeks an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to support the VA Data Modernization initiative. This fully remote role focuses on containerized apps, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform IaC, and strengthening cybersecurity posture for the Summit platform.

You will design Terraform modules, enforce DevSecOps across Azure pipelines, and ensure FedRAMP/NIST compliance with VA standards. A bachelor’s degree and 15+ years in IT, plus Azure and Terraform proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, CS, or related field with 15+ years of experience.
• 8+ years of experience with Azure-native services.
• Experience with Terraform and Azure DevOps, including plan/apply gates and secret management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Terraform IaC to provision Azure resources in Summit platform.
• Implement DevSecOps in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and security controls at deployment stages.
• Architect scalable Terraform modules aligned with VA cloud governance standards.
• Ensure configurations meet FedRAMP/NIST and VA compliance, with policy-as-code guardrails.
• Perform infrastructure code reviews and security assessments to remediate issues.
• Troubleshoot on-premises systems and update system components.
• Optimize existing customer solutions.
