Job summary
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise Azure Databricks and Azure environments. The role collaborates with Data Engineers, Architects and Data Scientists to ensure a secure, scalable cloud analytics platform.
The position offers remote work options with a SF presence, up to $150K salary, and discretionary incentives based on performance.
Qualifications
- 8+ years IT experience in enterprise environments.
- 5+ years Scrum Master in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on Azure Databricks administration experience.
- Proven expertise in Azure cloud platform operations and infra management.
- Experience automating cloud environments using Terraform and scripting tools.
Responsibilities
- Administer Azure Databricks workspaces, clusters, notebooks, jobs, libraries and integrations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Databricks cluster performance and auto-scaling.
- Manage Azure infrastructure components (VMs, Storage, VNets, Key Vault, Monitor).
- Implement and enforce RBAC, Unity Catalog governance, access management and data protection policies.
- Monitor health with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights and Databricks tools.
- Develop backup, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for Azure environments.
- Automate deployments with Terraform, ARM/Bicep, PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Support CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and Git repositories.
