Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking a remote Azure Data Engineer for an international organization based in New York. You will design and implement data infrastructure, enabling connectivity, storage, pipelines and integration under a hub-and-spoke model.

You can work 4/5 hours daily aligned to New York business hours, with options for employees or contractors. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data warehousing, strong Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, and coding skills (Python/Scala/Java).

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field.
• +5 years of experience with data warehouse architectures, ETL/ELT and analytics.
• +3 years of experience with Azure Cloud portal.
• Proficiency with Azure Data Factory for ETL/ELT.
• Experience with Azure Storage, Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and scripts.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Purview is a plus.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Collecting large, complex data sets meeting business requirements.
• Designing internal process improvements for scalability and automation.
• Building infrastructure for ETL/ELT using Azure and SQL.
• Building analytical tools to derive actionable insights from the data pipeline.
• Collaborating with cloud, data governance, and information management teams.
