Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Principal Cloud Computing Engineer to lead Azure cloud design, automation, and governance for VA migrations. The role is fully remote with potential collaboration across federal environments.

You will shape scalable cloud architectures, security controls, and CI/CD pipelines while aligning with VIP development and documentation standards. Ideal candidates have extensive Azure expertise, DevOps experience, and a track record of guiding complex modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating Azure infrastructure and services.
• Proven ability to scale cloud architectures and ensure high availability.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with multi-subscription governance and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Create data, cloud, and transition diagrams for Cloud infrastructure and apps.
• Design, develop, deploy, and operate CI/CD automation.
• Manage permissions for cloud resources and services.
• Implement monitoring for cloud-hosted systems to meet policies.
• Provide customer-focused support for VAEC environments and VA deployments.
• Support VAEC Azure GovCloud environments with VIP docs and processes.
• Adopt a DevOps mindset with CI/CD tooling.
• Provide Cloud Security Provider Documentation.
• Design VAEC/cloud-hosted solutions and address readiness gaps.
