Job summary

Highspring Consulting is seeking a hands-on Azure Data/BI Reporting professional to own a production BI environment. This continuity role focuses on learning the current reporting operation, documenting processes, and transitioning legacy Azure sources to a Fabric/Azure environment while preserving outputs.

You will pair with the current BI owner, ramp to full ownership, ensure reliable, well-documented reporting, and maintain stability until the future-state BI replaces it.

Qualifications

• Hands-on BI experience managing production reporting environments.
• Experience transitioning data sources to Fabric/Azure.
• Ability to document processes and create runbooks.
• Strong knowledge of Azure data stack and BI architecture.
• Experience with security and access governance for data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Absorb the environment by learning every report, dataset, automation, pipeline and supporting process.
• Secure access to systems, service accounts, workspaces, and data sources to operate independently.
• Execute the source transition, replacing legacy Azure sources with Fabric/Azure-backed sources while preserving outputs and logic.
• Validate and stabilize reports, extracts, distributions and downstream dependencies post-cutover.
• Own operations as primary contact for monitoring, troubleshooting and report requests.
• Maintain continuity and keep the platform stable until the future-state BI is ready.
