Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Lead- AWS DevSecOps to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud architectures across multi-account AWS environments. You will lead CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and platform engineering with a strong focus on security, governance, and observability.

The role is remote in the USA, offers an annual salary of $114,000–$128,000 plus an incentive program, and requires deep AWS, Terraform, CDK, and GitLab experience to drive enterprise-grade deployments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating AWS-based cloud platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Proven ability to build and secure CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Experience managing containers (ECS/EKS) and Kubernetes deployments.
• Deep understanding of security, compliance, and observability in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines using multi-stage YAML for build, testing, security scanning, and multi-environment deployments.
• Configure and manage GitLab Runners (EC2/EKS-based autoscaling) with focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Optimize pipeline performance through parallel execution, caching, artifact reuse, and conditional workflows.
• Implement automated release management including tagging, semantic versioning, rollback strategies, and audit traceability.
• Develop IaC using Terraform and AWS CDK with modular, reusable patterns.
• Automate provisioning of AWS services (VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3).
• Build and manage multi-account, multi-region AWS environments using CDK pipelines and GitLab integration.
• Implement scalable deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling).
• Automate deployment to container platforms (ECS/EKS) with image build pipelines and runtime config.
• Manage Kubernetes with Helm and establish repeatable deployment standards.
• Integrate security controls within CI/CD (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scanning).
• Enforce least-privilege access with IAM roles and cross-account controls.
• Enable compliance reporting aligned to PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, CIS benchmarks.
• Design end-to-end observability with AWS CloudWatch and third-party tools.
• Troubleshoot across CI/CD, infrastructure, networking, IAM, and runtimes.
