Job summary

Millennium is seeking a remote AWS DevOps Engineer to support NIWC Atlantic in a mid-to-senior role focused on designing, optimizing, and sustaining AWS cloud environments for a government-contracted program.

The candidate must hold an active Secret clearance and be comfortable with remote work while visiting Charleston, SC for site engagements. Compensation ranges from $145,000 to $150,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• ABET-accredited degree; degree from regionally accredited institution.
• 10+ years software or network engineering with a Master’s; 14+ years with a Bachelor’s.
• Current CompTIA Security+ and Agile Developer or CSD certifications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform/CloudFormation, Python/Bash/PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS networking services.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain AWS environments using IaC and automation for performance and availability.
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues and assist with cloud-system hurdles.
• Collaborate with IT, developers, security analysts, and project managers to align infrastructure with goals.
• Lead automation initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Document architecture decisions, automation processes, and compliance artifacts.
• Assist with Business Development activities including technical interviews, documentation, and proposal support.
