Job summary

Scrumconnect is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and support scalable cloud infrastructure. You will manage multiple AWS environments, build CI/CD pipelines, and integrate React front-end, microservices, and Kafka-based event-driven systems.

The role emphasizes governance, security, and cloud modernization within a remote UK-focused setup, with flexible working arrangements and a strong emphasis on collaboration in Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Designing, deploying, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Managing multiple environments within AWS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Experience with modern architectures: React front-end, microservices, AWS Lambda, Kafka.
• IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Networking concepts: Transit Gateway, PrivateLink.
• IAM/MFA governance and security controls.
• Knowledge of API management platforms (Kong Enterprise).
• Cloud governance and FinOps practices including resource tagging.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and manage AWS environments across dev/test/staging/production.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines with Git-based tooling.
• Manage AWS infra supporting React front-end, microservices, Lambdas, and Kafka integrations.
• Support ETL/RPA integrations and ensure secure networking and access management.
• Deploy and manage Kong Enterprise API Gateway across environments.
• Implement tagging standards and FinOps governance; monitor performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve automation and deployment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infra and deployment issues across cloud environments.
• Contribute to cloud security best practices and accessibility requirements.
