Job summary

GDIT, operating in the United States, seeks an AWS Technical Lead to join our cloud infrastructure team remotely from the USA. You will collaborate with a federal client to modernize and expand cloud capabilities, enabling mission-critical operations through cutting-edge cloud solutions.

You will manage multi-cloud environments, shape architectures, and drive successful implementation while mentoring DevOps engineers and aligning with enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT/digital transformation experience.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS architecture & implementations (or Azure/GCP).
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder eligible for Public Trust clearance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Expertise leading multi-tenant cloud systems such as landing zones and multi-account structures.

Responsibilities

• Own the current state of AWS systems, identify gaps, and drive improvements.
• Partner with operations lead to enhance operational excellence across the USPTO AWS environment.
• Serve as the final escalation point with the Program Manager to ensure SLA responses are met.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to define technical requirements and objectives.
• Leverage AI practices and design system improvements to elevate USPTO systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps Engineers, ensuring secure and innovative cloud strategies.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement and prioritize the backlog of enhancements.
• Engage with senior leadership, enterprise architecture teams, and agency personnel to build cloud adoption strategies.
