Ladders is seeking an AVP Property Claims to lead coverage analysis and provide technical support in a broker-focused environment. This remote US-based role collaborates with carriers, brokers, and retail partners to resolve complex coverage issues and deliver practical solutions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in commercial property claims with strong analytical and strategic thinking, and a Bachelor’s degree. This position emphasizes relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of commercial property claims experience.
• Experience with high-dollar and severe property claims.
• Inland marine and ocean marine claims experience a plus.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Proactive long-term strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance carriers’ claims departments to resolve coverage issues
• Draft coverage rebuttal position letters
• Review policies and provide technical support to broker teams
• Counsel brokers and retail partners on coverage and claims-related issues
• Mediate claims issues and propose acceptable solutions
• Stay updated on claims and coverage developments
• Advise on policy wording solutions for recurring coverage issues
• Develop relationships with carriers and brokers to enhance credibility
