Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Senior Staff Representative - Quality Assurance for a 100% remote role with 50% travel. The candidate will perform audits and investigations under CFR Title 14, Part 121.373, ensuring compliance across engineering, maintenance, and related programs.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in aviation/engineering, 2 years in aviation quality roles, and strong regulatory knowledge. Travel, collaboration with FAA, and reporting to senior leaders are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation, engineering, technology or related field.
• Two years' experience in aviation, preferably in aircraft maintenance inspection, engineering, and/or quality assurance
• Working knowledge of pertinent Code of Federal Regulations and Company Manuals / Requirements
• Familiar with engineering documents, drawings, AMMs, IPCs, and WDMs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated experience learning Company-specific platforms
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accomplishment of audits and / or investigations on behalf of United in direct support of the CFR Title 14, Part 121.373 and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Performs on-site and external compliance audits, approvals, and/or surveillance activities within Technical Operations and external support agencies.
• Conduct risk assessments, generate audit reports, monitor corrective actions, and follow-up to ensure program compliance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by assessing operational compliance and performance to regulations, policies and procedures.
• Participate in other duties as assigned by the Sr. Manager or Director of Quality Assurance.
• Interface with senior management through reports, presentations and corrective action tracking.
• Collaborate with FAA and other regulatory bodies as needed.
