Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret changes in aviation regulations from bodies like ICAO, EASA, FAA, and SACAA.
• Conduct remote compliance audits and assessments of aviation organizations (airlines, MROs, etc.).
• Identify compliance risks and deficiencies, and develop comprehensive remediation plans.
• Advise clients on regulatory requirements, best practices, and strategies for achieving and maintaining compliance.
• Develop and update compliance policies, procedures, and manuals for clients.
• Assist clients in preparing for regulatory inspections and certifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation safety, security, and operational regulations.
• Prepare detailed compliance reports and documentation for internal review and client submission.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on behalf of clients when necessary.
• Contribute to the development of compliance training materials and programs.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic aviation consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced and meticulous Remote Aviation Compliance Specialist. This position is vital for ensuring that our clients adhere to the complex web of national and international aviation regulations. Working entirely remotely, you will be responsible for monitoring regulatory changes, assessing compliance gaps, developing corrective action plans, and advising clients on best practices. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of aviation law, regulatory frameworks, and a proven ability to interpret and apply compliance requirements. Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation regulatory compliance, safety management, or quality assurance.
• In-depth knowledge of international and South African aviation regulations (ICAO, SACAA preferred).
• Experience with conducting compliance audits and gap analyses.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise reports.
• Proficiency in using compliance management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of aviation operations (e.g., flight operations, maintenance, ground handling).
• Must be legally authorized to work remotely for a South African-based company.
