Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join a distributed engineering team. You will develop and execute test plans for automotive software and hardware, working remotely from your home office.

You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to identify and resolve defects before release, maintain automated testing frameworks, and contribute to high-quality automotive systems in a fully remote capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS or related field.
• Experience in QA with automotive systems or embedded software.
• Strong QA methodologies and tools.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting (Python, Selenium).
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR is a plus.

About the Role

Our client is a leader in automotive technology and is seeking a meticulous Remote Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. Working from your home office, ideally near Randburg, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive software and hardware components. This includes developing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues before product release. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of quality that our client is known for, working on cutting-edge automotive systems in a fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for automotive software and systems.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and regressions.
• Analyze test results, document defects clearly, and track them through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability.

Requirements
