Job summary

ONE SHOT AUTOMATION LLC is seeking a driven Automations Engineer/Project Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated systems for industrial and commercial applications in Charlotte, NC. You will lead projects from concept through installation and start-up, coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires hands-on PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or similar), strong HMI/SCADA skills, and solid project management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Hands-on PLC programming with Allen-Bradley, Siemens or similar.
Proficiency in HMI/SCADA development and industrial control systems.
Strong project management across multiple projects.
Familiarity with electrical schematics, panel design, NEC standards.
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
Strong communication for client-facing interactions.
Willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automated systems for industrial and commercial applications.
Manage engineering projects from planning through installation and closeout.
Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and related components.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define scope and timelines.
Troubleshoot automation systems to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Develop documentation including schematics and project specs.
Conduct site visits, startups, and on-site commissioning as needed.
