Job summary

Tether Operations Limited is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows across web and native apps.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, investigate failures, and collaborate with developers to improve testability and acceptance criteria. This globally distributed, remote role offers opportunities to shape fintech platforms powering digital finance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI QA tools and critically reviewing their output.
• Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
