Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both manual testing and robust automation for desktop and mobile apps. You will build, maintain, and optimize test suites while integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable feedback.

You will apply TS/JS skills, use Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium, and test Electron/React Native apps on real devices. Experience with AI QA tools is a plus in a globally distributed, remote team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output.

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

Mandatory

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.
