Job summary
Hunter Douglas is a global leader in window coverings and a major producer of architectural products. We seek a controls engineer to design, develop, and implement intermediate level automation solutions for NA manufacturing, collaborating with engineering, production and IT.
You’ll program PLCs, integrate equipment, validate FAT/SAT, support startup, and drive continuous improvement. Requires a degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Automation, 1+ year in manufacturing, and travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 1+ yrs of work experience in a manufacturing environment as a controls engineer or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Design intermediate level control systems and automation solutions.
- Write, test, and debug PLC/DCS/MES/SCADA logic.
- Perform FAT and SAT validations.
- Train plant personnel in automation technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute automation projects.
