Job summary

RemoteJobsOne is seeking Autodesk Fusion 360 Specialists for a fully remote contractor role focused on advanced parametric CAD modelling to train AI systems. You will create robust, manufacturable CAD models and contribute to design decisions with clear documentation and good communication.

Preferred candidates bring extensive CAD platform experience (Fusion 360, FreeCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and knowledge of GD&T, DFM, and reverse engineering workflows. Prior scripting skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with parametric CAD platforms.
• Demonstrated GD&T principles knowledge in real-world projects.
• DFM expertise across manufacturing processes.
• 4+ years of model editing experience; 10+ years for complex assemblies.
• Proven ability in assembly-level modeling, not just single-part tasks.
• Experience in reverse engineering workflows (scan-to-CAD or point clouds).
• CAD automation or scripting experience (Python, iLogic, VBA) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop fully parametric 3D models of mechanical parts and assemblies from briefs.
• Edit and update existing parametric CAD models to reflect evolving requirements.
• Audit CAD models for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and design intent.
• Support AI model training by delivering high-quality CAD data and documentation.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to optimize designs for production.
• Communicate design rationale and feedback clearly in writing and verbally.
