Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an Autodesk Fusion 360 Specialist for a remote contractor role that blends mechanical engineering with emerging AI technology. You will create and refine parametric CAD models and provide clear technical documentation.

You will audit models for GD&T, apply DFM principles across molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting, and support AI model development with accurate CAD data and rationale.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and refining parametric CAD models in Fusion 360.
• Strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with DFM across molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting.
• Ability to document engineering decisions and communicate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop fully parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies using Fusion 360.
• Edit and update existing models maintaining design intent and manufacturability.
• Audit CAD models for dimensional accuracy and GD&T compliance.
• Apply DFM across manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting/forging).
• Support AI model development by delivering CAD data and documenting decisions.
• Communicate design rationale and engineering insights to cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in engineering datasets and outputs.
