Qualifications

• Investigate complex auto claims and verify facts of loss.
• Determine coverage, liability, and damages, and adjust/negotiate within authority.
• Mentor junior employees in claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Applies understanding of company insurance policies and department structure.
• Investigates most aspects of auto claims (coverage, liability, damages) with limited discretion.
• Assesses injury claims where applicable and negotiates basics.
• Identifies vehicle parts and other potential property damage.
• Identifies customer needs and uses appropriate service skills.
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and handling approach.
