Job summary

Patriot MGA is seeking a full-time remote Auto Liability Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve personal auto liability claims. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, driven to achieve, and demonstrates excellent decision-making ability.

Responsibilities include investigating claims, analyzing facts and state laws, making timely liability decisions, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years auto liability claims handling experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Active adjuster licenses in applicable states, or ability to obtain required licenses.
• Demonstrated experience investigating auto accidents and making liability determinations.
• Working knowledge of negligence, comparative negligence, and personal auto liability claim handling.
• Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate auto liability claims by reviewing statements, police reports, photos, and other docs.
• Analyze accident facts and state laws to determine liability and comparative negligence.
• Make timely, well-supported liability decisions and document rationale in claim file.
• Manage an assigned inventory of claims from investigation through resolution or transfer.
• Identify bodily injury exposure, coverage concerns, and escalate complex claims.
• Communicate professionally with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and others.
• Evaluate disputes, conflicting statements, and evidence to determine handling strategy.
• Maintain accurate claim notes, diaries, and action plans.
• Monitor pending claims and follow up to prevent delays.
• Recognize potential fraud indicators and refer for appropriate handling.
