Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Representative, Auto to analyze and process auto and general liability property damage claims from a telecommuting location in South Carolina. The role emphasizes timely resolution, subrogation opportunities, and clear communication with insureds, clients and brokers.

You will review loss estimates, manage deadlines, and support quality programs while collaborating with a professional team in a flexible benefits-rich environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjusting licenses as required for the position.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements
• Ability to review Property Damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses to negotiate claims
• Knowledge of total loss processing, salvage forms and title requirements (preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

• Processes auto and general liability property damage claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contract deadlines and move files toward prompt resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker when appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
• Travels as required.
