Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a dedicated claims professional to analyze and process auto and general liability property damage claims. You will assess damages, coordinate payments, document files, and ensure proper coding per policy.

This role emphasizes timely action plans, subrogation opportunities, and strong client communication. The position requires familiarity with property damage estimates and total loss processing, with a preference for state license maintenance and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred and state adjusting licenses as required.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
• Ability to review and assess Property Damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses to negotiate claims.
• Knowledge of total loss processing, salvage forms and title requirements (preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentations.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto and general liability property damage claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and codes files.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contract deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and agent or broker as appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
• Travels as required.
