Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a claims professional to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and commercial transportation claims. You will review coverage, investigate liability, and manage damages to achieve timely resolutions for clients.

The role requires five years of claims experience, strong communication skills, and licensure. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and professional certifications are a plus. Sedgwick offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverage, principles, and laws.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred; professional certification preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work in a team; PC literate including MS Office.
• Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial and personal line claims with proper documentation and coding.
• Handles litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management and independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carriers.
• Develops action plans to meet state contact deadlines and resolve files promptly.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client and broker as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned; supports quality programs.
