Sedgwick in Omaha, NE is seeking a Claims Examiner - Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and commercial transport claims, review coverage, investigate liability, and determine damages.

The ideal candidate has five years of claims management experience, a bachelor’s degree, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; licensure as required by state is expected. Sedgwick offers a flexible schedule and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Skills: strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills, PC literate including Microsoft Office products, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Secure and maintain the State adjusting licenses as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury and ensures files are documented and coded.
• Responsible for the litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carriers.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet deadlines and move toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality programs.
