Job summary

Sedgwick, a leading risk and claims solutions provider, seeks a Claims Examiner - Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto and commercial transport bodily injury claims. You will review coverage, investigate liability, and evaluate damages to deliver timely resolutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of claims management experience, a Bachelor's degree (preferred), and professional certifications. State adjusting licenses are required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills; PC literate including Microsoft Office; teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto commercial and personal line claims; ensures proper documentation and coding.
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management including independent adjusters for investigation.
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contact deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker as appropriate.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
