Job summary

Richey May & Co., LLP is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audits for alternative investments across the United States. You will plan and execute risk-based audits, review client engagements, and develop the audit team while building strong client relationships.

The role requires CPA licensure, a bachelor’s in accounting, 5+ years of related experience, and deep knowledge of cryptocurrency audit issues. A strong communicator and effective leader is essential.

Qualifications

• CPA licensure and a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum five years of audit experience in Alternative Investments.
• Solid understanding of cryptocurrency-specific audit issues.
• Familiarity with industry terms such as miners, DeFi, keys.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills; leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete audits using a risk-based approach and prepare reports.
• Lead client audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning to completion.
• Build relationships with client personnel and conduct collaboration meetings.
• Identify and propose internal control improvements and efficiencies for the client.
• Manage client accounts including billing and new service development.
• Develop and train audit team members.
• Stay updated on cryptocurrency/digital assets accounting issues via training resources.
• Ensure regular and predictable attendance.
