Job summary

Carr, Riggs & Ingram (CRI) is seeking a Manager, Audit to lead engagements and mentor staff in a remote setup across AL, FL, GA, TN, LA, MS, NC, and SC. The ideal candidate holds a CPA, with 5+ years in public accounting and 3 years in a senior role, plus strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in public accounting, 3 years as a senior (in-charge) accountant.
• Superior oral/written communication skills.
• Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative to make those decisions.
• Ability to conduct research and analyze information collected.
• Ability to prioritize a heavy work load and remain organized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, organize and schedule engagements to meet deadlines.
• Provide timely feedback on engagements to support staff development.
• Review financial statements and disclosures for compliance with reporting requirements.
• Review work papers to ensure quality control.
• Research accounting issues and provide solutions.
• Plan and manage engagements to ensure completion.
• Become an expert within assigned niches.
• Monitor the quality of our product and the performance of our personnel.
• Maintain public certification and CPD units.
• Assist in special projects assigned by Partners.
• Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
