Active CPA and 5+ years public accounting audit experience are required; healthcare experience is preferred but not required. We provide training on healthcare regulations, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and GAAP standards.

Qualifications

Audit Manager -Remote OpportunityWe are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our firm as an Audit Manager with Healthcare or Long-Term Health Care Nursing Home experience. In this role, you will lead financial audits, manage engagement teams, and serve as the primary advisor to our clients in the long-term care and skilled nursing facility sector. Prior experience in healthcare accounting is not required, but you must have a strong desire and openness to learning the nuances of the industry. We will provide the specialized training needed to help you master healthcare regulations, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement structures, and GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engagement Management: Oversee full-lifecycle financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care clients.
• Regulatory Compliance: Learn and navigate complex healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and HHS compliance requirements.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor audit seniors and staff accountants, reviewing their workpapers and providing constructive feedback.
• Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for executive client leadership, presenting audit findings and delivering strategic financial insights.
• Business Development: Identify opportunities to provide additional advisory services to existing clients and assist in proposals for prospective long-term care clients.

Qualifications & Skills
