Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking an Audit Manager in Metairie, LA, to lead healthcare assurance engagements. A CPA with 5+ years in public accounting, including 3+ years as senior/in-charge, and direct healthcare experience is required.

You will oversee engagements, mentor staff, review statements and workpapers, and foster client relationships to grow the healthcare practice.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to research and analyze technical accounting information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, organize, and schedule healthcare assurance engagements to ensure timely completion.
• Provide timely feedback to staff to support their development and learning.
• Review full financial statements and disclosures for reporting compliance.
• Review workpapers to ensure adherence to the firm’s quality control standards.
• Research complex accounting issues and provide well-supported solutions.
• Plan and manage engagements to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop expert-level knowledge within assigned healthcare niches.
• Support monitoring of deliverable quality and team performance.
• Maintain CPA certification and required CPE hours.
• Assist Partners with special projects as assigned.
• Build new client relationships and expand networks beneficial to the firm.
• Identify opportunities to offer additional services to existing healthcare clients.
