Sedgwick, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking an Attorney Auditor for remote work across numerous states. The role focuses on reviewing invoices against client guidelines, ensuring audit accuracy, and escalating complex issues when needed.

Ideal candidates hold a J.D. with several years of civil litigation experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work well in teams.

Qualifications

• Law degree (J.D.) is preferred from an accredited college or university. Active law licensure preferred but not required.
• Five to six years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews invoices using client-specific billing guidelines and GAPS, escalating as needed.
• Communicates audit findings and responds to billing inquiries from law firms.
• Processes invoices in line with workflows and SLAs to ensure timely audit completion.
• Performs reasonableness reviews of invoices and documents adjustments with rationale.
• Uses Sedgwick’s Legal Spend Management platforms to review and route items.
• Collaborates with managers to ensure consistency in auditing practices.
