24-MAG LLC seeks professionals to design research-grade computational problems in astrophysics and cosmology. You will craft tasks using astropy, cosmological calculations, and galaxy survey workflows, and develop Python-based validation and benchmark workflows.

The role is a fully remote, independent contractor position with an expected commitment of 15–20 hours per week and hourly compensation in the $60–$90 range.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level expertise in astrophysics or cosmology.
• Strong Python programming skills for scientific computing.
• Experience designing or validating computational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design graduate-level computational problems based on astrophysics workflows.
• Create tasks involving cosmological calculations, angular power spectra, galaxy survey analysis, and observational pipelines.
• Develop validation logic and oracle functions for evaluation and scoring.
• Refine task difficulty via structured calibration feedback.
