Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Associate Nurse Manager to help plan, organize, direct, and evaluate patient care operations on a 24-hour basis. This role supports the nursing professional practice model and helps translate the medical center's mission into daily operations.

Under the Nurse Manager, you will guide and evaluate staff performance, collaborate across departments, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement and cost-reduction efforts.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Two to three years of clinical experience in patient care setting.
• Certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise (or to be achieved within eligibility).
• Demonstrated leadership and related responsibilities.
• Maintains and updates nursing knowledge and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations 24-hour basis.
• Support the nursing professional practice model and organizational mission.
• Guide, coach and evaluate work performance of patient care staff under Nurse Manager.
• Collaborate with other patient care departments related to operations and services.
