Job summary
Worldwide Clinical Trials seeks an Associate General Counsel, Legal to lead complex legal and regulatory matters for a global CRO. You will partner with senior leadership to navigate risk, shape strategy, and ensure compliant sponsor contracting across multiple jurisdictions.
You will oversee drafting and negotiation of clinical research agreements, support business development, and mentor a team of legal professionals while driving efficiency and governance across the organization.
Qualifications
- JD or equivalent licensed qualification in the US
- 8–12+ years of progressively responsible legal experience
- In-house CRO/pharma/life sciences experience preferred
- Strong track record in commercial contracting and sponsor-facing agreements
- Knowledge of global clinical research regulations and data privacy
Responsibilities
- Advise leadership on complex legal, regulatory and commercial risks
- Lead key legal subject-matter areas and provide practical guidance
- Draft, negotiate, and execute complex clinical research agreements
- Streamline contracting processes with cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with GxP, privacy, and data security obligations
- Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and governance matters
- Mentor and develop legal professionals and drive process improvements
