Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly experienced logistics professional to design, engineer and optimize distribution centers, enabling demand, throughput and storage requirements. You will drive automation initiatives with third-party providers and act as a subject-matter expert for warehouse automation.

You will lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites, develop ROI analyses, and partner with sourcing, real estate and operations to transform RTX Logistics into a modern, data-driven operating system.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and extensive experience.
• 10+ years of warehousing planning and operation experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional and cross-business unit teams.
• Operational experience in multi-site warehouse and distribution management.

Responsibilities

• Create standards for automation solutions servicing storage, throughput and layout governance.
• Perform facility capacity modeling and flow simulations.
• Design slotting, pick-path, racking, and storage solutions with third-party operators and insourced sites.
• Evaluate emerging logistics technologies and automation options and assess applicability.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology and automation plan for distribution sites.
• Collaborate with RTX systems and data teams to integrate best practices into WMS and S/4 designs.
• Support network design models by building DC expansion, relocation and consolidation plans.
• Develop capital investment proposals and ROI analysis.
• Influence and drive change across multiple businesses, functions and geographies.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics and sourcing professionals.
