Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Director, CORDS Oncology, to lead non-interventional health outcomes research using retrospective data. You will guide analyses, communicate results to stakeholders, and mentor a growing team within a remote US framework.

The role emphasizes protocol development, statistical programming in R/SAS, and strong writing and presentation skills, with ample opportunities for leadership and impact in oncology research.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related quantitative field; PhD preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical outcomes research or related field.
• 4+ years using large retrospective data sets for oncology/hematology.
• 4+ years of statistical programming with R or SAS.
• Experience with protocol development and execution for health and economic outcomes research.
• Strong writing and oral presentation skills.
• 3+ years of project leadership (preferred).
• Knowledge of IHD or similar platforms is a plus.
• Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Java, MATLAB, C++, Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead non-interventional research projects using retrospective data to support customer needs.
• Communicate project status and results to stakeholders.
• Engage with customer teams on protocol development, analyses, interpretation, and messaging.
• Provide scientific leadership for health and economic outcomes research.
• Mentor staff to develop functional and behavioral skills.
• Coordinate research across the RWD Analytics team to meet goals.
• Collaborate across departments to align team objectives.
• Lead diverse projects and promote adaptability among team members.
• Promote diversity and inclusion in RWD Analytics initiatives.
