Job summary

The Ladders is seeking an Associate Director Commercial Strategy and Planning to join our team on a remote basis. This leader will guide commercial strategy workstreams and client engagements within healthcare and life sciences initiatives.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, translating business goals into actionable plans, and delivering high-quality outcomes across multiple priorities. Strong communication and structured execution are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA/MPH/PharmD/PhD/MS).
• 7–10+ years in life sciences consulting, including at least 5 years in commercial strategy and client engagement leadership.
• Experience leading client engagements from initiation to delivery.
• Expertise in commercial strategies for pharmaceutical brands, including market assessment and launch strategy.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams in matrixed environments, including off-shore teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day lead for commercial workstreams.
• Lead client communications, workshops, and status meetings, partnering on executive-level interactions.
• Translate client objectives into clear workplans and success measures.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and present insights confidently.
• Manage deliverable scope, timelines, and overall engagement performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across various expertise areas.
• Drive execution across multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining quality standards.
