Job summary

MBRDNA is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to provide broad legal support across employment, contracts, IP, data privacy, AI, compliance, and regulatory matters. The role emphasizes practical business-focused guidance while collaborating with internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

The position is open to remote work, with on-site or hybrid options in San Jose, Ann Arbor, or Atlanta. It is a temporary 4–6 month assignment, with relocation not available and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and 0-2 years of practice.
• Experience in tech, automotive, or engineering environments preferred.
• Ability to distill complex legal concepts into actionable business guidance.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Bar admission in California, Michigan, or Georgia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel across employment, contracts, IP, data privacy, and regulatory matters.
• Negotiate, draft, and review commercial and technology contracts and NDAs.
• Advise on AI and emerging technologies, IP protection, and licensing.
• Support regulatory and trade compliance, including export controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align legal approaches with business goals.
