Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Business and Real Estate Litigation in Pasadena, CA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate litigation expertise, precision, and diligence.

You will handle motions, depositions, and trials, supervise paralegals, and communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel while maintaining billable hour targets and adherence to budgets. JD from an accredited law school and California Bar license required; 3–7 years in LA County

Qualifications

• California Bar License is required.
• 3–7 years of business and/or real estate litigation experience in LA County.
• Live and work experience in LA County.
• Strong verbal and written communication; Spanish optional.
• Detail-oriented, diligent, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Appear in court by phone, video, or in person as required.
• Manage case management conferences, status/trial settings, and final status conferences.
• Handle motions, depositions, mediations, and trials independently.
• Supervise paralegals in preparing pleadings and motions.
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
• Review case files and conduct legal research using various resources.
• Draft and respond to legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence.
• Assign, supervise, and revise substantive documents prepared by paralegals.
• Document billable hours per client per month according to approved budgets.
• Meet a minimum billable hour requirement of 6 hours per day.
