Job summary

contactlinksolutions is seeking US-based American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to provide professional interpretation services between ASL and spoken English. The interpreter will work with Deaf, DeafBlind, hard-of-hearing, and oral individuals across settings to ensure clear communication.

Fully remote, full-time independent contractor position with an immediate start following onboarding. Monthly payments are provided; language testing or background checks may be required depending on

Qualifications

• Fluency in ASL and English is required.
• Minimum 1 year interpreting experience preferred.
• RID/CDI certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication needs is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and written English skills are required.
• Proficiency with computers and basic office software is expected.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between ASL and spoken English.
• Follow applicable licensing or certification requirements (national/state/local).
• Adhere to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Complete required documentation and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, systems, and processes.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
• Communicate regularly with Team Leader and follow guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
