Job summary

Gpac is assisting a well-established plaintiffs' practice in recruiting an Asbestos Trust & Bankruptcy Attorney to handle nationwide trust claims. This role emphasizes technical, detail-oriented work focused on trust administration, claims strategy, and maximizing client recoveries with minimal courtroom demand.

The ideal attorney has a J.D., active bar license, 3+ years of asbestos trust fund or bankruptcy experience, and thrives in a high-volume environment with remote or hybrid flexibility

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of asbestos trust fund or bankruptcy experience.
• Strong understanding of asbestos bankruptcy trusts and claims procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a high volume of claims independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and manage asbestos bankruptcy trust claims across multiple trusts.
• Analyze exposure histories, medical records, and employment documentation to support claims.
• Develop trust claim strategies to maximize client recoveries.
• Coordinate trust submissions with underlying asbestos litigation when applicable.
• Track trust audits, deficiency notices, and appeals.
• Stay current on trust distribution procedures (TDPs) and evolving trust requirements.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and intake teams as needed.
