Job summary

American Healthcare Management Group (AHMG) is seeking an Area Director of Operations to lead Executive Directors across the Southeast, with a focus on Florida communities. You will read P&L statements and survey histories in the same afternoon and elevate each ED to meet quality, budget, and compliance goals.

You’ll own P&L performance, grow census and RevPOR, and supervise care quality, licensing readiness, and onboarding of new communities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in senior living operations leadership.
• Experience as an Executive Director or Administrator of an assisted living or memory care community.
• Direct accountability for community operating budgets.
• Led a community through a state licensing survey for assisted living or memory care.
• Florida Assisted Living Facility Core Training completed, or willingness to complete it within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel 50–75% across the Southeast.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Executive Directors.
• Own P&L performance and budget management.
• Ensure compliance with AHCA rules and audits.
• Grow census and revenue with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Oversee care quality with Directors of Healthcare.
• Open and transition newly managed or built communities.
• Be the escalation point for senior operations issues.
