Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Entry-Level Archaeological Technician for a remote, part-time role. The position begins as soon as possible and involves field and lab support across US-based projects, including pedestrian surveys, shovel test pit work, and data entry.

The role requires knowledge of basic field techniques, artifact processing, and proper form documentation, with duties across field, lab, and coordination tasks under supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• US Citizenship required
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites/offices
• Relocation not offered; sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Performs archaeological fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and documentation.
• Works under direction of Crew Chiefs, Field Director, and Principal Investigator.
• Supports quality standards and project coordination.
• Provides field/lab gear and organization support as needed.
• Performs data entry and artifact labeling; copies records for curation.
• Handles manual labor including excavation and moving materials.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather and terrain.
