Job summary

Direct Counsel in Beverly Hills, CA seeks an Arbitration Team Lead Attorney to lead a growing plaintiff-side employment litigation practice, focusing on mass arbitrations, wage and hour disputes, and California employment matters. This senior role requires building strategy and guiding a team of attorneys through high-volume caseloads.

The ideal candidate will spearhead arbitration workflows under AAA and JAMS rules, mentor junior attorneys, and drive efficiency while maintaining top-quality

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar member.
• 4+ years in employment litigation, including wage/hour, class action, PAGA and arbitration.
• Hands-on experience supervising attorneys and leading litigation teams.
• Strong knowledge of AAA and JAMS arbitration procedures.
• Deep understanding of California wage and hour laws and employee rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of attorneys handling mass arbitration matters, especially wage/hour violations.
• Oversee arbitration cases from intake through discovery, settlement, and hearings.
• Develop case strategies and improve department efficiency.
• Review arbitration demands, motions, discovery responses, briefs, and settlements.
• Mentor junior attorneys, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with AAA and JAMS rules and mass arbitration protocols.
• Develop workflows, templates, and case management systems for a large caseload.
• Collaborate with intake, pre-litigation, and operations to ensure smooth transitions.
• Participate in strategic evaluations, negotiations, and hearings as needed.
