Job summary

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Supervisor, Accounts Receivable to join our Revenue Department. This is a Remote Position and the selected candidate must reside in New Mexico or be willing to relocate to New Mexico.

The role oversees the cash application processes in our healthcare payment systems, ensuring timely posting and compliance with policies and third-party payor requirements. Prior supervisory experience and healthcare experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years of related work in healthcare
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in duties described
• Education verification may be required if selected for hire

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the unit ensuring compliance with laws and policies
• Supervises personnel: work allocation, training, performance evaluation
• Imports daily deposits and EDI files for automated posting
• Ensures correct posting of Insurance and Patient Payments per payor requirements
• Monitors payment postings for adherence to policies and regulations
• Reviews medical records related to services rendered
• Prepares and maintains records and reports on payment posting
• Responds to inquiries about financial assistance and state programs
