Job summary

Ovation Healthcare is seeking a motivated AR specialist to follow up with insurance payers on outstanding claims, break down obstacles to payment, and accelerate cash collections. This is a 100% remote role supporting independent hospitals and health systems across the country.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hospital billing/collections experience, knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and DRG, and proficient Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Direct account follow-up and billing experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and DRG.
• Intermediate Excel experience.
• Ability to work independently from home.

Responsibilities

• Follow up and collect on accounts in assigned inventory using standard strategies.
• Escalate unpaid claims to payer claims supervisor when needed.
• Document client host system using the 5 W's framework and copy notes into Amplify's workflow tool.
• Assign status codes in Amplify to identify trends and actions.
• Write first and second level appeals of denials to secure payment and escalate trends to Management.
• May work underpayments as assigned by Management.
• Maintain daily productivity and quality expectations.
• Research and analyze related correspondence.
