Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Representative Accounts Receivable III to manage follow-up on intermediate outstanding accounts and coordinate payment arrangements. This remote role supports our ambulatory surgery center network and requires solid knowledge of healthcare billing and payer guidelines.

Responsibilities include following up on claims, researching denials, training team members, and maintaining accuracy in accounts receivable while upholding confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with CPT/ICD-9/ASA codes.
• 3–5 years in healthcare receivables environment.
• Strong data gathering and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and payer guidelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding claims and appeals.
• Phone patients for payment or payment arrangements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies.
• Process claim edits, rejections and transmissions.
• Assist with training and knowledge sharing.
