Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist I to join our team. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. Responsibilities include researching payer resources, resolving denials, and managing AR workloads with strong attention to detail.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of AR or related experience. Prefer an Associate's degree and healthcare RCM experience. Competitive benefits and supportive team environment accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more of accounts receivable or related experience.
• RCM or healthcare billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research payer resources to obtain billing, claim, and payment information.
• Resolve denied, underpaid, or rejected claims.
• Manage assigned accounts receivable inventory and follow-up activities.
• Analyze denial trends and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Work aged accounts receivable following SOPs.
• Collaborate with leadership, payers, and partner teams to resolve denials.
• Document account activity and follow-up actions.
• Meet productivity and quality metrics.
• Escalate complex reimbursement or denial issues as needed.
• Protect confidential patient and financial information per policies.
• Adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
